NBL 2026-27 Round 2 results
1 October 2026
Round 2 ran from Thursday 24 September to Wednesday 30 September, and the home sides took it: seven of the eight games went the way of the team on its own floor. The one exception was Melbourne United, who won 86-61 at South East Melbourne Phoenix — the round's biggest margin.

The round in three lines
Perth edged Adelaide 98-97 — the closest game of the round by a point. The Wildcats then won their second home game of the week too, 97-93 over the New Zealand Breakers, so both of their round 2 games finished within four points.
Sydney Kings' 121-100 win over Illawarra Hawks was the highest-scoring game — 221 points between them. The Kings won both their home games, adding a 93-78 win over Brisbane Bullets to close the round on Wednesday night.
Melbourne United's 86-61 at South East Melbourne was the only away win, and by 25 points the widest result on the board. Every other game was won by the home side.
A round that takes a full week to finish is just how the NBL works, and it's a different rhythm to run a competition around than a Saturday-to-Sunday footy round. A TippingMates ladder follows it automatically, whichever night the games land on.
