Two Semi Finals, two away sides eliminated — Fremantle and Brisbane Lions both survived to book their spot in the Preliminary Finals. Brisbane's 53-point demolition of Adelaide Crows was the more emphatic of the two; Fremantle had to work harder, holding off a fast-finishing Geelong Cats by 14.
